Call for Papers

We invite contributions from industry and academia as well as encourage postgraduate researchers to submit their work. Submissions may be any of the following:
  • research papers
  • short papers
  • experience reports


The ICBIIT08 has a two phase submission and selection process:

Phase One: Selection and Presentation at Conference:
Contributions for presentation are selected on the basis of abstracts. Abstracts will be evaluated for originality, significance and contribution. All authors of accepted contributions are expected to present at the conference. All accepted contributions will be invited to submit a full paper, which will be published in the electronic conference proceedings after the conference.

Phase Two: Publication of selected Full Research Papers:
Full research papers of high quality will be reviewed and selected by an international programme committee. It is planed to publish the best papers selected by the programme committe in Springer Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (indicative publication date Summer 2008). As accepted papers are published in the conference proceedings, contributions must not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Format for Paper Submission:

All abstracts and papers have to be submitted via the online submission system. Please click here

Abstract Submission
There are no formatting guidelines for abstract submissions, however the abstract should not exceed a half A4 page and has to be written in English.

Paper Submission
The Conference proceedings will be published in accordance to the formating requirements for the Lecture Notes by Springer Verlag.
  • language of publication: English
  • paper should not exceed 12 LNCS pages (including abstract and references)
  • please include a 100-word abstract at the beginning of the paper, which clearly presents the achievement or contribution of the paper
  • please include 4-7 keywords best describing your paper
  • we understand that you submit your original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and that you agree to publish your work when it is accepted by the Program Committee; you will be required to send a signed copyright form as required by Springer at a later stage
  • the paper has to be presented at the conference; only presented papers will be included in the proceedings
